Developed together with a captain from Avalon River Cruising on how to optimize all aspects of operations, our AlphaBridge Inland concept is based on the principle that the captain should have the best achievable ergonomic and safe working position.
This innovative bridge solution suitable for passenger ships, tankers, cargo and other inland vessels enables the captain not to be in an uncomfortable situation when passing a low bridge. Instead, with the wheelhouse lowering, the control panels can also be electronically shifted down to a lower level providing undistracted focus and seamless operation. With the ability for the captain to move to the feet rest gives an unseen and unique flexibility to fully control and guide the vessel.
The design approach enables optimized viewing in the wheelhouse and full control from a sitting position – facilitating a height difference of up to 50 cm.
