JRC/Alphatron Marine is present at Europort showing many innovations

Press releases

After a period of Corona and no exhibitions, JRC/Alphatron Marine is very pleased to present all our new innovations at Europort, the international maritime exhibition where we can meet again after 2 years.

On Europort we will show the Solid State Radar technology of which ships officers and ship owners see the advantage of, with its high performance and low maintenance cost. JRC had already developed a X-band Solid State Radar antenna, but the price for these components has been too high to justify the higher Capex to the lower Opex. The price of the Solid State X-band amplifier, which can run 80,000 hours, has slowly come down during the past years, making this the right time to introduce this new Solid State X-band antenna and start delivery from early 2022.

Also, we are presenting our new conning system. This conning software is the first member of applications of our powerful all-in-one software suite AlphaMINDS (Multifunctional  Information Navigation & Docking System). This conning application, based on the openbridge design,  can be used within the complete suite or as a stand-alone application. The conning screen contains all standard presentations to display the usual navigation and other information needed for safe navigation of the vessel.

The JRC NECST ‘online’ route planning station has been expanded with the weather data and optimal route planning from Japan Weather Association (JWA). Currently, we are also implementing other weather data and optimum route service providers. We will be demonstrating this Navigational Electronic Conning Station on a 46-inch multi-touch screen, combined with our proprietary J-Marine Cloud, will significantly enhance operational tasks for officers on board and provide a total solution for safe, efficient and cyber secure smart navigation and voyage management.

We are introducing our new high accuracy GNSS receiver, with the possibility to connect multiple antennas. Depending on the number of active antennas, the GNSS receiver will be able to calculate; precise positioning, accurate heading, roll and pitch, but it will also bring redundancy to the owner. The GNSS receiver will by default calculate the position by combining and using various satellite systems available such as GPS, Glonass, BeiDou and of course Galileo. In the second phase of development RTK (Real Time Kinematic) correction possibilities will be added to the receiver to make it even more precise.

The Alphatron Marine new innovative console is based on a modular design with a minimum number of parts that can be easily assembled locally. Most parts of this console will be in stock so that it can be built quickly with controlled quality anywhere in the world. This saves approximately 6 weeks of delivery time. There are only 2 different sides that can build all consoles. The frame is made of aluminum, the end caps and hatches are made of recycled ABS. So the major advantages of this console are shorter delivery time, lower transport cost, local assembly with constant quality and saving in weight. And monitors up to 46-inch can be fitted without modification.

This is just a small selection of our new products we will be showing at our stand. For all other products, solutions and demonstrations, we cordially invite you to our booth where our team with professionals will be available for you.
