Because of the expansion of business and personnel, the Alphatron Marine branch office on Curaçao is moving to another location. The new office building is strategically located on the Mathey Wharf in Sint Annabaai, the remarkable natural harbor that is the largest in the Caribbean. The Curaçao staff will be able to quickly respond to any sales, service and maintenance needs for new and existing customers and for all IMO-vessels as well as mega-yachts, fishing vessels and workboats sailing in the Caribbean and Central- and South America.
In addition, one of our largest business partners, Damen Shipyards Curacao, has taken over the existing dry dock of Curaçao (former Curaçao Dry Dock Company). Alphatron Marine now already runs many projects on the ships delivered by Damen Shipyard and since the new office will be located close to their local shipyard, Alphatron Marine has an even closer partnership.
The grand opening of the new Alphatron Marine Caribbean office on Curaçao will take place on 29 March 2019 around 16.30 hrs and the celebrations will start off with an official opening speech by our honored guest Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath. From 1 April the location on the Sint Annabaai will be operational.
“We are looking forward to the opening of our new office,” tells Mark Meerveld, Manager Alphatron Marine Caribbean. “From this office we can provide an improved service to existing and new customers. It will also give us the opportunity to increase the presence of JRC and Alphatron Marine brand in our area.”
Mark Meerveld started to work at Alphatron Marine Rotterdam in 2005 after a career with the Royal Dutch Navy and the Dutch Naval Aviation Service. His experience as a service engineer, manager of the department Training and Technical Support and assistance in the start-up of various worldwide locations of Alphatron Marine, brought him to Curaçao.
