JRC and Alphatron Marine are pleased to announce the signing of a VAR agreement with Speedcast International Limited (ASX: SDA), the world’s most trusted provider of remote communication and IT solutions, for Inmarsat’s Global Xpress and FleetBroadband portfolio. With this official agreement in place they are one of JRC’s Inmarsat Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners who are offering Inmarsat’s FleetXpress solution to their valuable customers.
“We are pleased to further expand our FleetXpress terminal portfolio and we are looking forward to the partnership with JRC” said Athina Vezyri, Executive Vice President, Maritime, Speedcast. “Our customers will now have more choices when choosing the terminal that is right for them.”
"Speedcast is a global player in the maritime sector and we are happy to have them in our specific JRC Inmarsat reseller network” commented Anna Marini, Sales Manager, JRC/Alphatron Marine EMEA division. “We are now able to even further support worldwide growing demand on Fleet Xpress 60 cm installations and services based on JRC GX and FB antennas.”
The JUE-60GX antenna design offers rigid, stable and a unique absorbing ships vibrations system resulting in accurate satellite pointing for best on-board performance under all conditions
JRC is one of the world’s longest-established companies in the field of marine electronics and a pioneer in global mobile satellite communications as Inmarsat’s longest-serving manufacturing partner. Both JUE-251 and JUE-501 antennas have proven JRC design and production quality with a rich track record in the market for many years.
The Fleet Xpress hybrid solution of JRC is based on the new Global Xpress Ka-band JUE-60GX backed by the L-band resilience FleetBroadband family JUE-251 or JUE-501. For both GX and FB installation is quick and easy. With such lightweight antennas the vessel’s downtime is minimal as no crane is necessary for installation and the onboard commission can be done efficiently. We are confident this will enhance both portfolio’s for JRC and Speedcast on hardware and onboard IT-infrastructure to have best customer experience and service on the market.
