JRC and Alphatron Marine are pleased to welcome you at Kormarine in Busan, Korea, one of the world’s most important exhibitions focused on shipbuilding, offshore and the oil & gas industry. Here we will introduce a brand new and simplistic designed AlphaBridge solution, targeted at medium and small type vessels. Also on show is our unique and fully integrated AlphaBridge tugboat. Experience first-hand the simple and innovative design at both bridges.
The design of the new AlphaBridge for medium-small sized vessels enables optimized viewing in the wheelhouse and full control from a sitting position. The bridge features a central command chair facing three 26-inch navigational displays in the front consoles. The bridge is fitted with JRC’s latest black box JMR-5400 marine radar and a new conning system. Within arm’s reach, the operator can control the main displays and various equipment integrated in the bridge, including autopilot, VHF and a propulsion system.
The AlphaBridge tugboat comprises of two ergonomic and dynamically designed consoles with a central captain’s chair mounted on rails. It is distinguished by the best all-round visibility offered from a sitting position. With over 50 tugboat bridges currently in operation, our solution ensures uncompromised command and control at all times during intensive towage operations. This innovative tug bridge concept has been fully equipped with a high quality and ruggedized Alphatron Marine and JRC navigation and communication package.
We also will be showing the future generation route planning station, developed together with NYK, one of the oldest and largest shipping companies in the world. Create routes on the same paper chart scale, now fully digital on a 46-inch touch display using your fingertips. Interaction with the large display is just as on your mobile phone, clicking, pinching, dragging and even remarks can be added to the chart by handwriting. With weather (predictions) included, you can easily and accurately create your route, add and remove waypoint along the way and once completed, directly transfer via LAN to the ECDIS onboard.
