Area Sales Manager - Maritime

What are you going to do as an Area Sales Manager?
  • You are the (sales) advisor of assigned international distributors.
  • You visit international shipyards and shipping companies, key accounts.
  • You support the dealers to increase their sales area and increase turnover.
  • You provide business support regarding quotations, contracts, and agreements.
  • You present our products and solutions to both dealers and end-users.
  • You are aware of the most current market developments and you respond to them so that
  • You make maximum use of the opportunities (Market Intelligence).
  • You are involved in drawing up and executing annual sales plans.
  • You support the distributors during international trade shows and other events.
  • You are part of the sales team, and you report to the BDM or GM. 

In this job, you travel an average of 6 days a month. You are aware of the most up-to-date market developments and you respond to them so that you make maximum use of the opportunities (Market Intelligence).

Who are you?
  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the field of study; Maritime Officer (MAROF), Commercial Economy or International Management.
  • 3 years of work experience in the maritime sector is a plus.
  • Experience with Navigation and communication equipment is a plus.
  • Affinity with technology / technical sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English is a must.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Navision, CRM).
  • Creative, passionate, and result-oriented are key values.
  • Willingness to travel (around 30% of the time).
