Alphatron Marine is an important player in Maritime Navigation & Communication, Instrumentation and Automation. With our head office in Rotterdam and several smaller branches in Europe, the USA, Mexico and Singapore we always endeavour to be close to our customers.

Our are Spare Parts Department deals with customers who need parts for equipment that was previously purchased. This can vary from small PCBs, to control units or motors for radars. Due to the growth of this department, we are looking for a motivated:

What do we expect from you?

As Inside Sales Representative you are the main contact person for both customers and suppliers via phone, e-mail as well as face-to-face. Customer Service is an important aspect of your job. You enjoy helping customers with their requests and problems on a fast pace and you will also work closely together with your colleagues at Alphatron to achieve the required result.

You listen closely to the customer’s request or problem, find the best solution and arrange the required spare parts to achieve this solution. You send the customer a quotation for the parts and when these are not in stock, order these from the supplier. You find the best carrier to get the parts to the customer as quickly as possible. When the customer requires for the parts to be installed, you arrange a service engineer for the installation together with our Service Department.

In addition to above there are several other projects to arrange. During new build projects you advise the customer which spare parts are advised to be on board at all times and you are also in direct contact with ship owners that Alphatron has Service Contract for spare parts with. This is a very versatile customer oriented position where you are responsible for sending out quotations, giving advice, sales and logistics and you will work in an enthusiastic and motivated team of people.

What do we ask from you?

  • You have finished an education at MBO 4 / HBO level
  • You have at least two years of relevant working experience within a sales/commercial environment. Experience within the maritime branch is an advantage
  • Have knowledge about and take an interest in the maritime sector
  • Knowledge and experience in working with MS Office and ERP Systems
  • Customer oriented and good communication skills
  • You have good knowledge of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
