Having an enjoyable journey on water with entertainment as we are familiar with in the aviation industry is now possible. The ever developing market on crew- and/or passenger transportation requires out of the box thinking also when it comes to a form of relaxation, a form of entertainment onboard, in order to stay at the forefront of this market.
Alphatron has recently introduced Alphatainment Personal Entertainment System (PES), a modular Maritime Entertainment concept that serves the welfare of Crew and/or Passengers onboard. This Seatback Entertainment system consists of a central server distributing on demand multimedia, such as movies, music and Infotainment directly to latest technology 7 inch touch panels in each passenger chair. Not only on demand content is available, also live radio can be sent to each user through AM/FM reception.
The system uses the user friendly Android software for its intuitive operation and earphones make sure that each user can enjoy the entertainment in comfort.
Apart from entertainment purposes this system also houses an important safety feature. On the management PC of the system a safety instruction video can be started before departing, only after this video entertainment is continued. It is also possible to pause the entertainment during an emergency PA announcement. In the main menu the owner can choose to show a continuous company promotion video and, if preferable, a company color layout with logo.
Monday the 20th of February a Crew Supplier with 60 seats was delivered successfully with this new system.
Alphatainment is a product with many developments to come. In our office in Rotterdam a showroom is created for product demonstrations.
